But Vancomycin (Vancocin) takes over 6 to 8 hours to kills bacteria.
And CBD also disrupted the biofilm, the layer of ”goop” that surround bacteria which makes it more difficult for the antibiotic to penetrate and kill.
Also, according to Blaskovich, “CBD is much less likely to cause resistance than the existing antibiotics.”
And he says that the research outcome are promising but in early stages. But he also warns people that it’s much too early to self-treat infections with CBD.
So, CBD Antibacterial issue is very timely, as antibiotic resistance is reaching dangerously high levels, according to the World Health Organization.
